The new meeting MII Study Group is now live<\/strong>\u2014 a space dedicated to deepening analytical psychology based on the legacy of Carl Gustav Jung. In this edition, we have the special participation of Claudio Mele, who brought thought-provoking reflections inspired by the book Working With Dreams<\/em>, by Wolfgang Giegerich.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

The discussion offers a unique approach to dreams, viewing them as manifestations of the soul speaking about itself. In contrast to interpretations focused exclusively on the dreamer's biography, this perspective \u2014 inspired by Jung's psychology and further developed by Giegerich \u2014 understands the dream as an autonomous phenomenon, carrying its own meaning. As Giegerich states, the dream does not need to be translated into everyday language or reduced to personal psychodynamics; it must be circled around and listened to from multiple angles, moving away from the functional thinking of ordinary consciousness.<\/p>\r\n

Claudio Mele, a contributor to the Image Archive of the C.G. Jung Institute in Zurich, emphasized how this way of working with dreams represents a true initiatory act. It is an exercise that requires the analyst to radically shift their stance: to let go of conventional rational listening and connect with the symbolic, the enigmatic, and the archetypal \u2014 the deep language of the soul.<\/p>\r\n

The MII Study Group, responsible for this series of meetings, is inspired by the legacy of Nise da Silveira<\/strong>the Brazilian psychiatrist who transformed clinical psychology by incorporating art, affection, and symbolic listening into the care of people in psychological distress. In 1952, Nise founded the Museum of Images of the Unconscious (MII), an international reference for its unique contribution to depth psychology, art, and psychic rehabilitation through symbolic expression.<\/p>\r\n
